Hi there, I am Franziska Ammann. I trained and qualified as a Soft Tissue Therapist at the Cambridge School of Sports Massage and gained the ISRM BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy. I am a member of The Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists ISRM, UK (formerly The Institute o Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy). Since this summer I’m also a certified APPI Pilates Matwork Instructor (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) with additional certification in Ante/Post Natal and Menopause.

I was born and grew up in Switzerland and I speak English, German and French. My family relocated to the US in 2015 and I took a break from my career in marketing and advertising. I used the time to focus on raising my family and nurturing my passion for running, exercise, and health. I ran my first marathon, led a running group, and took up cycling and tennis. Taking care of my sport mad family (a goalie, a competitive swimmer, a cyclist, and a rower) led me to turn my passion and experience into a new career so that in 2018 when we relocated to the UK, I trained as soft tissue therapist. I love using my knowledge of injury prevention, pain relief, restoration, and rehabilitation to help others suffering from minor injuries or chronic pain. I know how frustrating it is when you can’t reach your goals due to injury or pain and how important it is to return to training as quickly as possible. Or when everyday activities become impossible due to restrictions or chronic pain.

I am committed to not only treat the symptoms but to work out solutions that will bring long term improvements for my clients, tailored to their unique needs. Soft Tissue Therapy is an ideal way to get to the bottom of the problem and to release painful tension and restore mobility. Pilates perfectly continues this path with strengthening the necessary muscles, awakening body awareness and creating a self-care routine. Soft Tissue Therapy and Pilates is the perfect combination for not only treating one part of the body but to strengthening the whole person.

In my off time you can find me running, walking our dog, cycling with my husband, cheering pitch, pool or river side, reading a book, painting, trying out a new recipes in the kitchen or having a cup of tea or a glass of bubbly with a friend. Because I truly believe that a cuppa and a good chat with a friend can solve almost everything!
